The emergence of this faculty was made from the beginning of the academic year 2010-2011 following an article published in the same year subject to a ministerial decree whose execution has undergone the same conditions as that decreed by the law an ° 10-198 of 15 Ramadhan 1431 corresponding to the August 25, 2010 amendment corresponding to September 18, 2001 creating the University of Laghouat.And completing the executive decree n ° 01-270 of 30 Joumada Ethania 1422.
The faculty includes several departments whose number is currently limited to three departments
- Sociology and Demography
- Psychology and Education Sciences and Speech-Language Pathology
- Social science
- Islamic Sciences
Given the current situation of the faculty being in the process of being born a group of concerns being built because of the plethoric number of students enrolled / the exiguity of the place; a lightening has been planned in order to give meaning to all these formations for a concern of scrupulously paramount pedagogical order and another related to the quality of the programs which are the subject of the same axis of research of a purely consubstantial nature. The Social Science Department includes two other profiles as a result of a student choice requirement and another related to other conditions in which the human factor remains the most important factor. We distinguish the department of psychology; science of education and speech therapy and the department of sociology and demography; scrupulously a decision which reflected that emanating from the scientific council in the same year and under the same conditions.
The main objectives of the faculty:
1- its main vocation is related to the field of scientific research through research projects and an efficient exercise of an excellent pedagogical action corresponding to the different specialties at the level of the faculty. The effectiveness of such action within the university and the faculty more particularly is more to validate / appreciate only through a relevant programming in order to sketch a new methodology going with the new perspectives of the faculty and the different themes meeting the expectations and needs of our students in double training (university courses and internships corresponding to each of the profiles initially enacted according to well-negotiated criteria). Beyond these borders, promote scientific research remains a major concern who should lead administrative and educational group to find the most appropriate and appropriate angles of attack in order to carry out all the projects of the faculties.
2 - the role of the teaching teams as well as the scientific council is a factor of a non negligible contribution in all the decisions to be taken at the level of the faculty.
3- Strictly designed canvases according to programs adapted to the needs and expectations of students at the time of reform and in the era of globalization.
4- Academic research based on a solid foundation is an absolute necessity to ensure a better training that can expand the investment context of all the theories corresponding to the courses taught and / profiles of students in the field of psychology / sociology or other specialties at the faculty level.
5-Scientific campaigns and academic research should be given special attention in a sense that will serve primarily scientific research in academia in a context of competition with other Algerian universities that could possibly dictate to us other perspectives or follow the academic path of the students enrolled at the faculty level in the shadow of this new CDD label with a lot of interest
